We are a group of San Francisco based singing actors, brought together by acclaimed stage director and founder of the Opera Academy of California, Yefim Maizel. We believe that quality entertainment belongs to the community as a whole, and we can't wait to share the thrilling story of PAGLIACCI with you.
Opera is a story-telling experience about passion, love, lust, sex, morality, and desperate choices, which are examined through the marriage of music and lyrics. We often hear that "opera is stuffy”, “not understandable, accessible, or affordable". We want to change that for you. You don't need to be a musician, an opera expert, or fluent in foreign languages to experience deep emotions at an opera. We are communited to bringing opera to you in an accessible, tangible, and affordable way.
